1. Unofficial Film-Related Music Video of the Moment - One of my favorite tracks of the year, “Lofticries” by Purity Ring, gets the unofficial music video treatment from Vimeo user David Dean Burkhart, who utilized footage from the cult 1970’s Swedish film Thriller: A Cruel Picture, whose main character was the inspiration for Uma Thurman’s character in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill films. So much awesome.

  2. Cube? In 3D? No Wai!

Cube was released in 1997 and had one of the best line readings of a sexual innuendo.

Are you ready to go down?

Ah huh huh huh, a huh huh huh, misogyny. Cube was also the first movie I ever heard a character scream “Saskatoon!” Neither of the two sequels was all that memorable but I can’t say I am surprised to hear about a reboot being considered, this time in 3D! Shock Til You Drop has this:

Lionsgate is presently fielding pitches for Cube 3D, a source tells us.

Now a 3D Cube movie could actually be pretty cool but if Lionsgate is hoping to turn this into another Sawmill, then I’m sitting out.
